From announcing various different digital experiences, to using AI-generated commentary for the very first time, it doesn’t look like organisers are planning to slow down anytime soon…

Teaming up with Vodafone – the tournament’s official connectivity partner – Wimbledon will be placing an extended focus on creating a better viewing experience for visually impaired fans.
Offering to bring the action closer to individuals’ eyes, in a VR-like system, cells that respond to light in the retina are activated, and fans are allowed a clearer view of the action.
Having customisable options, those who use the headsets will be able to adjust for brightness, zoom, contrast, and other settings to optimise the experience!

The MLB (AR)e in The Future!
On the topic of 5G, this one's for you MLB fans.
We know, shock 🤣
Taking advantage of their increased platform, the Baseball league has NOT stopped this Summer. It really feels as though every couple days there’s a new announcement!
Aiming to integrate new fans into the sport, most of the league’s recent innovations have revolved around simplifying explanations about both how the game is played and viewed.
Unsurprisingly, this weekend’s announcement looks to be following a similar path, BUT there’s a twist… Augmented Reality (AR)!
With T-Mobile being an official MLB partner for the last decade, the two have taken their dealings to the next level. This is what we know so far:
Using their unique 5G-powered systems, T-Mobile will be releasing a number of AR inspired experiences to further engage MLB fans into the game
Planning to integrate features into the MLB app, the way in which fans currently interact with the sport will be heavily changing
Fans who are currently signed up to the app will be able to see 3D overlays on the field, showing stats like ball distance, launch angle, and more!
Interactive strike zones will also be included, giving fans both at home and in the stadium opportunities to see where pitches are being thrown.
